Terms of Service

By downloading or using the app, these terms will automatically apply to you - you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app. You're not allowed to copy or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You're not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also shouldn't try to translate the app into other languages or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all the trademarks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to Marcel Friedrich.
1. License Grant
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Lifetify app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. Marcel Friedrich is committed to ensuring that the app is as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the app or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. We will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you're paying for.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Lifetify. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.
3. User Data
Lifetify entries are stored locally on your device. We don't have any access to this data unless you explicitly choose to enable Cloud Backup. If you use Lifetify without Cloud Backup, all data is stored locally on your device. When you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed. If you enable Cloud Backup (Premium), your data may be synced and stored securely on our servers to make it available across devices. The processing of such data is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share any personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
4. In-App Purchases & Premium Subscription
The app includes in-app purchases that allow you to use the app without restrictions ('In-App Purchases'). You acknowledge and agree that you are fully responsible for managing your In-App Purchases. If you are under 18 then you must have your parents' or guardians' permission to make any In-App Purchases. All billing and transaction processes are handled by the App Store Provider from whose platform you downloaded the app and are governed by the App Store Provider's terms and conditions. If you have any payment-related issues with In-App Purchases then you need to contact the App Store Provider directly.
5. Premium Subscription Details
Lifetify offers monthly and annual subscription options. Our 'Monthly' subscription is paid in monthly installments. For each month that your monthly subscription is active, you acknowledge and agree that Lifetify is authorized to charge the same payment method as was used for the initial subscription fee. The monthly renewal subscription fees will continue to be billed automatically until cancelled. You must cancel your subscription before it renews each month in order to avoid billing of the next month's subscription fee. Our 'Yearly' subscription is paid for by an upfront one-off payment with automatic annual renewal. All prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary depending on your country of residence. Prices are subject to change, but any changes will only take effect after the current subscription period ends unless otherwise agreed.
6. Auto-Renewing Subscriptions
Your subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription by going to your Apple ID or Google Play account settings after purchase. Please note that deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel it through your account settings to avoid further charges. Refunds for partially used subscription periods are not provided, except where required by law.
7. Premium Cancellation
You may cancel a Monthly or Yearly subscription at any time. Cancellation is effective at the end of the applicable subscription period. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no further payments will be charged after cancellation. Please note that deleting the app does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must actively cancel it through your account settings on the platform where you purchased it. If you purchased a subscription through the Apple App Store, you may cancel your subscription by selecting 'Manage Subscriptions' in your Apple ID account settings. If you purchased a subscription through the Google Play Store, you may cancel automatic renewals in Account Settings > Subscriptions in the Google Play app. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period to avoid being charged for the next billing cycle. Refunds for partially used subscription periods are not provided, except where required by law. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact Apple or Google Play support directly, as all billing and refund requests are handled by the respective App Store Provider.
8. Changing Fees and Charges
We reserve the right to change our subscription plans or adjust pricing for our service or any components thereof in any manner and at any time as we may determine in our sole and absolute discretion. Except as otherwise expressly provided for in these Terms, any price changes or changes to your subscription plan will take effect following notice to you.
9. Liability and Connectivity
You should be aware that there are certain things that Marcel Friedrich will not take responsibility for. Certain functions of the app (such as Cloud Backup) will require the app to have an active internet connection. The connection can be Wi-Fi or provided by your mobile network provider, but Marcel Friedrich cannot take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality if you don't have access to Wi-Fi and you don't have any of your data allowance left. If you're using the app outside of an area with Wi-Fi, you should remember that your terms of the agreement with your mobile network provider will still apply. Along the same lines, Marcel Friedrich cannot always take responsibility for the way you use the app. You need to make sure that your device stays charged - if it runs out of battery and you can't turn it on to avail the Service, Marcel Friedrich cannot accept responsibility. With respect to Marcel Friedrich's responsibility for your use of the app, it's important to bear in mind that although we endeavour to ensure that it is updated and correct at all times, we do rely on third parties to provide information to us so that we can make it available to you. Marcel Friedrich accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, you experience as a result of relying wholly on this functionality of the app. This limitation does not apply to damages caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or where mandatory law requires otherwise.
10. Updates and Termination
At some point, we may wish to update the app. The app is currently available on iOS and Android - the requirements for both systems may change, and you'll need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. Marcel Friedrich does not promise that it will always update the app so that it is relevant to you and/or works with the iOS or Android version that you have installed on your device. However, you promise to always accept updates to the application when offered to you. We may also wish to stop providing the app and may terminate use of it at any time without giving notice of termination to you. Unless we tell you otherwise: (a) the rights and licenses granted to you in these terms will end; (b) you must stop using the app, and (if needed) delete it from your device.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Germany. If you are a consumer within the EU, you also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update our Terms and Conditions from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page. These terms and conditions are effective as of March 21, 2026.
